After seeing infomercials on TV for mineral cosmetics, I thought the concept was really cool, so I began my own research on the web for other companies. I came across Afterglow and decided to try it. I bought the sample set and loved it! I love the way the makeup goes on...SIMPLE and so easy to do. I love the coverage the makeup gives----PERFECT, flawless skin tones. I have a lot of red patches in my skin, and my old foundation/concealer/powder routine would always wear off after only a couple hours of wear. Mineral makeup doesn't fade and you always look good. It feels so good on my skin, like I am wearing nothing. For my sister's birthday, I had her try my makeup and she loved it, so I bought her a sample set too. Both my mother and I are breast cancer patients. We were diagnosed just months apart. Chemotherapy changed our skin and complexions greatly. I was thrown into menopause and my skin was dry and lifeless. My mother's skin lost all it's elasticity and became very thin and transparent. We went to the American Cancer Society's 'Look Good, Feel Better' program in hopes of finding makeup products that could help us regain a healthy look. They gave us large boxes filled to the brim with expensive cosmetics from all the top companies. There must have been four to five hundred dollars worth of makeup in each box. Mom and I tried all the products but left there feeling we'd never find makeup that didn't look like we painted it on. After a year of looking like Goth creatures, I suggested we try the BareMineral Makeup we saw advertised on TV; but the price was so high and we already had shoeboxes full of useless makeup we didn't want to spend that kind of money for something we doubted would work like it did on TV. I finally found the miracle make-up! As a hair dresser of 11 years, I have been exposed to the latest in professional make-up and have never been impressed with anything. My long search ended when I decided to order a sample kit from Afterglow Cosmetics. I feel blessed to have come across this wonderful product.
